A lack of clarity from the Italian government on the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) is causing problems for the developer. TAP AG has yet to restart construction after the summer break. 

Work was scheduled to restart on 1 October after a four-month summer hiatus during the height of the tourist season in Puglia. But a spokesman for the developer told Interfax Natural Gas Daily that the company was waiting for assurances from Rome that TAP will not be officially blocked.
