The initial hype surrounding Bangladeshi LNG demand appears to be calming, with a number of FSRU projects falling by the wayside.

Petrobangla last week said it had ceased discussions with India’s Reliance Energy to develop an FSRU project on Kutubdia Island off gas-short Bangladesh. The news follows recent reports that the NOC had dropped plans for two other FSRU schemes proposed by commodity traders Vitol and Gunvor.
