The UK government is playing down the impact of Brexit on the gas and power markets, but European gas companies are concerned a no-deal scenario would pose significant risks in terms of security of supply and business confidence. 

Eurogas – the Brussels-based lobby group that represents European gas companies such as Shell, Total and Eni – said in a letter to the EU’s chief negotiator, Michael Barnier, this week that much is at stake for both the gas and power sectors.
