Germany’s RWE has signed an agreement with the developer of the Brunsbüttel LNG terminal near the port of Hamburg to book “a considerable part of the terminal’s capacity on a long-term basis”, RWE said in a note on Thursday.
“RWE has signed a [heads of agreement] that guarantees RWE access to substantial annual capacity,” the company said in a statement. German LNG Terminal presented a plan in January for a 5 billion cubic metre per year LNG terminal in Brunsbüttel.
