Eni has finalised the sale of a 10% stake in Egypt’s offshore Shorouk concession to Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Petroleum, the Italian company said on Wednesday.
Eni, through its subsidiary IEOC, holds a 50% stake of the contractor’s share in Shorouk, while Rosneft holds 30%, BP 10% and Mubadala 10%.
Eni aims to produce 56.6 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) of gas by the end of the year before reaching a plateau output of 76.5 MMcm/d by the end of 2019.
