The average price of LNG imports arriving in South Korea has exceeded $7/MMBtu for the first time since March.

South Korea paid an average of $7.3/MMBtu for LNG in October, the first time the average price has been above $7/MMBtu since March. The higher average was a result of 87% of South Korea’s LNG imports being priced above $7/MMBtu in October.  Oman accounted for 9% of South Korea’s LNG imports in October and was its most expensive supplier, with an average price of $8.3/MMBtu.
