The US and Canada will see another gas glut at the end of the 2016 injection season despite lower injection rates.
The glut is expected to be even more severe than at the end of the 2015 injection season. It will happen despite a combination of slowing gas production growth in the US, lower injection rates compared with this time last year and increasing gas demand from the power and industrial sectors.
