You wait five years for a Brazilian bid round, and four come along at once. Nearly 300 concessions go under the hammer in the country’s flagship 11th bid round in May, with the first unconventional and pre-salt tenders pencilled in for October and December. Throw in the possibility of a minnow feeding frenzy in 2013, and you have a bid round for almost every year that’s been missed.
