UK independent African Petroleum (AP) has lodged an appeal at the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) regarding two blocks repossessed by the Senegalese government two years ago. 

The arbitration proceedings, which concern the company’s Rufisque Offshore Profond (ROP) and Senegal Offshore Sud Profond (SOSP) licences, are expected to heighten scrutiny over Senegal’s public management of its burgeoning petroleum industry.
