Post-Fukushima, the government of Japan has imposed stringent stress tests for all its nuclear power plants; and production continues to decline as more units are shut down for scheduled inspection and maintenance. At the end of November, only 10 of the 54 installed units were in operation and nine are scheduled to be shut down by March 2012. It is uncertain when these plants will come back online since they must first pass the stress tests imposed by the central government and then obtain permission...
