
Romanian transmission system operator (TSO) Transgaz and its Hungarian counterpart FGSZ are confident they will complete the construction of their respective sections of the first phase of the Bulgaria-Romania-Hungary-Austria (BRUA) pipeline by the scheduled October 2019 deadline.
Completing the project will help Romania placate the European Commission, which opened an antitrust investigation in July 2017 into whether the country is restricting exports and cross-border flows.
