Wentworth Resources has announced that it will relinquish its Tembo onshore exploration block in northern Mozambique on 30 April 2019.
Although the company gave no reason for its exit, it is believed it is pulling out because of violence in the region. An Islamist insurgency has led to ongoing attacks on civilians since October 2017 and forced Wentworth to stop exploration activities.
