Italy’s rising LNG consumption and improved pipeline interconnectivity are boosting its efforts to become a gas transport hub.   

LNG deliveries at the OLT terminal in Livorno have risen since Italy’s energy authority, the Autorità di Regolazione per Energia Reti e Ambiente (ARERA), introduced auctions for allocating capacity at the facility. Three tankers have made landfall in November alone.
