PetroChina has invested $7 billion in projects in Turkmenistan to date, Azerbaijan’s Trend news agency reported the company’s vice president, Wang Zhongcai, as saying at an industry event in Ashgabat on Tuesday.
Wang said China is on course to import 35 billion cubic metres of gas from Turkmenistan in 2018, which will account for 10% of China’s gas demand this year.
