Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (ADNOC) is considering Saudi Arabia and emerging markets such as Pakistan as potential new customers for its LNG as the company prepares for a drastic reduction in exports to Japan next year. 

ADNOC signed an agreement with Japan’s Tepco in 1994 to supply 4.3 mtpa of LNG. The deal was carried over into Jera, the joint venture Tepco formed with Chubu Electric in 2015. The volume accounts for around 74% of the capacity of the 5.8 mtpa Das Island LNG plant,...
