Argentina is looking to export LNG using the Caribbean FLNG vessel, according to La Nueva.
The vessel was built by Exmar to supply a project in Colombia that fell through. Exmar has since been looking for alternative uses for the barge.
The vessel would liquefy gas to deliver domestically during the winter to meet Argentine demand but would export during the summer months.
This is likely to be a near-term option, but there are plans for a much-larger onshore plant to export...
