High hydropower output and modest gas-to-power generation have hammered Brazilian gas demand. Brazil’s average daily gas consumption fell by nearly 13% in the first four months of 2018 compared with full-year 2017, according to Energy Ministry data. Average daily gas-to-power sector consumption fell by nearly 30%.
