Guangzhou Gas Group remains hopeful of securing supply from what could be Canada’s first LNG export plant, despite pushing back the deadline for a final agreement by seven months.

The Chinese city-gas company has been in talks with Woodfibre LNG Export since at least last September, when they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for 1 mtpa for 25 years from British Columbia starting in 2017.
