
Egypt’s state-run gas companies are responding to Eni’s plan to speed up its production schedule at the giant Zohr gas field.
Grid operator GASCO has told Interfax Natural Gas Daily it is accelerating the construction of pipelines to transport gas from Zohr to the domestic market, while Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co. (EGAS) and the energy ministry are closing down LNG import infrastructure ahead of schedule.
