Norway’s sovereign fund advised on big gas emitters
The Council on Ethics of Norway’s $1 trillion sovereign fund will advise the fund to stop investing in companies with a very high level of emissions.

The Council on Ethics of Norway’s $1 trillion sovereign fund is preparing new recommendations based on gas emissions and will advise the fund to stop investing in companies with a very high level of emissions, Johan H. Andresen, the head of the council, told Bloomberg in an interview on Monday.
"We’re looking at energy, cement production and maybe steel," Andresen told the newswire.
Andresen said the fund’s investors seem "well prepared" to receive such recommendations; in 2015 they were advised to stop investing in coal-based power production.
