Gas industry must embrace post-Paris era – Schäfer

Klaus Schäfer, chief executive of German energy company Uniper, was recently elected as the new president of Eurogas, a Brussels-based organisation representing the European gas industry. He spoke to Interfax Natural Gas Daily about the major role gas will play in the transition to a low-carbon economy following the commitments made under the Paris climate agreement. 

Interfax Natural Gas Daily: Recent preliminary data from Eurogas show signs of a recovery in European gas demand, albeit from fairly low base levels. What are the main factors behind this upturn?
