With its acquisition of stakes in the Wheatstone and Kitimat LNG projects, Woodside Energy may finally be establishing the ‘growth path’ it has been looking for.
Woodside has agreed to pay Apache $2.75 billion for shares in the Western Australian (WA) and British Columbian (BC) LNG projects and associated upstream assets, plus $1 billion for Apache’s net expenditure in the two projects (see Apache LNG assets boost Woodside’s project portfolio, 15 December 2014).
