Dawn’s price premium over AECO disappears

Canada’s East-West gas price spread (the difference between prices at the Dawn and AECO hubs) has turned negative in October, partly because the country’s West Consuming Region (WCR) has made net gas withdrawals during the 2016 injection season. However, the Dawn’s usual price premium over the AECO will re-emerge as the 2016-2017 gas withdrawal season gets under way next month.
