The recent weakness in West Canada’s gas prices will boost the appeal of the region’s gas in the Dawn market in the east of Canada during the summer. The Dawn market relies on pipeline gas supplies from West Canada and the northeastern United States. Cheaper prices at the AECO hub in West Canada compared with those at the Transco Z6 hub in the US northeast will also keep western Canadian gas competitive over the coming weeks.
