
The South Central Region (SCR) of the United States has shown early signs of making net drawdowns from its gas storage facilities, even though the 2017 injection season is well under way. Demand for gas is increasing as the start of summer means air conditioning-related power demand is ratcheting up. This has supported Henry Hub front-month futures and spot prices, a trend that is expected to continue during July.
