State-owned Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has launched a tender for the construction of a 300-450 MW gas-fired power plant in Bibiyana, the site of a gas field in northeastern Bangladesh.
On Tuesday, BPDB invited international companies and consortiums that are experienced in building simple or combined cycle gas turbine power plants to apply. Specifically, bidders should have experience in supplying, constructing, installing and testing a gas-fired generator with at least 250 MW of capacity over the past decade, BPDB said.
