One of China’s top gas distributors plans to expand its foothold in gas-fired distributed generation (DG) over the next decade to build power sector demand for its supplies.

China Gas Holdings (CGH) plans to have 100 combined-heat-and-power (CHP) systems operational across the country by 2028, according to Hu Kewu, general manager of Zhongran Energy Development, a Shenzhen-based subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed China Gas.
