
Argentina will begin exporting gas to neighbouring Chile before the end of the year, the energy ministers of both countries said last week. The first cross-border flows could come in October or November, said Chilean Energy Minister Susana Jimenez.
The gas could come both from the Neuquén Basin, which is home to the Vaca Muerta shale formation, and the gas-rich Austral Basin in the far south, according to authorities.
