Clock ticking on FID for Fortuna FLNG

Ophir Energy has said it aims to make an FID on the Fortuna FLNG project in Equatorial Guinea by the end of this year. It is under pressure to reach the landmark sooner as its licence for offshore Block R – which will supply gas for the project – is due to expire in December and the government is already threatening to pursue other options.
