
Shell and Total have signed memorandums of understanding with Oman to develop gas resources in the country’s onshore Block 6 and build downstream gas facilities on the Omani coast. The IOCs will work together on the upstream part of the project but commercialise their shares of the gas separately.
The IOCs plan to develop the gas discoveries in the Greater Barik area via a joint venture, with Shell holding a 75% stake and acting as operator and Total holding 25%. The project includes several fields, including...
