Ghana’s Ministry of Energy plans to launch a tender for at least six offshore blocks this year in a bid to mitigate the impact of declining production from the Jubilee field. But while the move may help Ghana’s energy security in the long term, it will add further uncertainty to the country’s already complex LNG import situation.
