BP’s selection of Golar LNG as a vessel provider for the Tortue gas project offshore Mauritania and Senegal comes as lingering uncertainty over the format of a technical unitisation agreement between the countries continues to weigh on progress. 

The agreement between BP and Golar, which was announced on 19 April, followed BP’s award of a FEED contract to UK-based TechnipFMC for the project’s FPSO earlier last week
