United States President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he had ousted Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who will be replaced by Mike Pompeo, currently director of the CIA. The appointment of Pompeo, in light of his previously stated stance on Iran, has raised fears the US will reinstate sanctions against the Iranian regime.
