The number of operational rigs targeting gas across the Middle East, East Mediterranean and Pakistan fell marginally in November from the previous month, from 97 to 88. The drop was largely driven by a lack of activity in Saudi Arabia, where seven fewer rigs were operational in November than the month before. 

The rig count in Egypt slipped by one in November, but the country’s Petroleum Minister Tarek el-Molla has said he expects a significant increase in gas activity in 2018. Cairo is preparing the ground...
