The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is a step closer to setting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions targets for global shipping, a move that is expected to boost the use of LNG as a maritime fuel.
The IMO held the second round of negotiations on a climate agreement for shipping in London between 23-27 October. The talks did not yield a concrete goal on reducing emissions, but the IMO expects an agreement next year.
