Iran is still negotiating with groups of companies to complete the half-built Iran LNG plant, according to sources at the project company and National Iranian Oil Co. (NIOC). Tehran had hoped to award a contract over a year ago, but so far an agreement has yet to be reached.

Three consortiums are in the running to finance and build the remaining sections of the 10.5 mtpa plant, Ali Amirani, acting head of NIOC’s gas export division, told Interfax Natural Gas Daily. Iran LNG has not said...
