LNG terminals will play a key role in helping northern China sidestep gas shortages this winter as supply from long-distance pipelines will be constrained by capacity, industry analysts have told Interfax Natural Gas Daily.
Beijing and Tianjin receive most of their gas from the three Shaanxi-Beijing trunk pipelines. The pipelines supplied 33.8 billion cubic metres in 2016 and are already running at capacity.
