Argentina’s drillers in the dark over price

Uncertainty over Argentina’s generous incentives for gas producers is behind a sharp slowdown in drilling in the country, experts have told Interfax Natural Gas Daily.

"I was in Neuquén two weeks ago, and it looks like a lot of activity has stopped," Horacio Cuenca, a Rio de Janeiro-based upstream research director for Latin America at Wood Mackenzie, told Interfax Natural Gas Daily on Monday. The province of Neuquén is responsible for nearly 48% of Argentine gas production.
