Making America ‘great again’ has yet to begin, but the President-elect of the United States is already reshaping the South American Pacific.

Donald Trump vowed last week to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) on the the first day of his presidency. The 12-nation trade pact was intended to ease the flow of goods among Pacific Rim countries. Trump called the TPP a "horrible deal" on the campaign trail, and he warned it would be the death knell for manufacturing in the US.
