Egyptian tenders a sore spot for service providers

Cairo’s lack of flexibility around tenders for oil and gas service contracts is causing some frustration in the sector, with providers arguing the system has not responded to financial pressure points over the last year. 

Egypt has three kinds of tender, all of which are overseen by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corp. (EGPC) and Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Co. (EGAS).
