Brazil needs to piece together pre-salt puzzle

Wildcat has wondered before if Brazil would blow its gas bonanza. That could be hyperbole, but there is no question the country needs a plan for its pre-salt riches, and fast.

The sector appears to have reached a tipping point. Brazil’s pre-salt fields produced 42.2 million cubic metres per day (MMcm/d) of gas in August, which was nearly 39% of the country’s total gas production.
