Iran will prioritise LNG exports and delivering gas to its neighbours over a long-distance pipeline to Europe until the region settles on a long-term gas strategy, Iranian officials said on Tuesday.

Speaking at the fourth Iran Europe Oil, Gas & Energy Summit in Berlin, Ali Majedi, Iranian ambassador to Germany, lamented the lack of a Europe-wide gas strategy, which he said makes Iran’s task of planning gas exports difficult.
