Argentine President Mauricio Macri has been forced to tone down his drastic plan to bring household gas bills in line with the country’s wellhead prices.
Argentine Energy Minister Juan José Aranguren has proposed increasing residential gas tariffs by an average of 203%. The majority of Argentine households will pay an average of ARS 107 ($7.09) per month for their gas, according to energy ministry figures.
