Abu Dhabi Future Energy Co. (Masdar) has created a system for battery manufacturers to test their products. The Electric Energy Storage Hub (EESSH), allows companies to see how their storage devices perform under a range of conditions. Saif al-Mheiri, an assistant professor of mechanical and materials engineering at Masdar, and Alexander Ritschel, head of technology for Masdar’s special projects division, talked to Interfax Natural Gas Daily about the EESSH and its intended impact.
