Tighter supply boosts Europe prices, but pressure will mount

The NBP day-ahead price was up to 45 p/th on Tuesday after rising by 9% over the past week. Although LNG has arrived at the UK’s South Hook terminal, the volumes have yet to hit the market. Before this, the country had received no LNG since late September, and the three-week gap has reduced supply and helped tighten the market. Outflows from LNG storage have been helping supply, but at a much reduced rate.
