The Indian Energy Ministry signed contracts for 23 out of 25 contract areas on offer under the second Discovered Small Fields (DSF II) bidding round last week. The round was successful for state-owned companies, with Oil & Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC) winning five licences, Oil India Ltd winning two, and a joint venture of Indian Oil Corp. and Hindustan Oil Exploration Co. winning one block.
