Spain’s LNG imports rose by 44% in 2019 compared with 2018, according to data from Cores, as a result of low spot LNG prices. The increase resulted in a boost to the utilisation rates of the country’s six LNG terminals – Barcelona, Bilbao, Huelva, Mugardos, Sagunt and Cartagena – and a decline in pipeline gas imports.
