The key issue: Commercial operations started at Freeport LNG Train 2 this month, adding 5 mtpa of US LNG capacity to a glutted global market for the fuel.

Interfax analysis: The start of commercial production from the second train of the Freeport liquefaction project in January added a further 5 mtpa of LNG export capacity in the United States. But it is only the first of several new trains set to come online this year, bringing still more supply to an already glutted market.

The
