Weak spot prices in the Asia Pacific LNG market since last spring look set to persist into H1 2020 as rising global supply will continue to pressure gas prices over the short term. But contrary to previous expectations, a recovery could be on the cards in H2 as industrial growth picks up and emerging markets take advantage of low spot prices with additions to regasification capacity.
