Gas production in Ukraine has hovered around 20 billion cubic metres per year over the past decade, but the country’s previous government, led by former President Petro Poroshenko, declared its intention to boost output to 33 bcm/y by 2022. The new government seems motivated to carry on with these plans, which also opens the door for exports to neighbouring countries.
